Welcome to the DIVERGE (Development, Individual Variation, Genetics, & Environment) Lab in the University of South Carolina Department of Psychology.

We investigate how people differentiate from each other over time as a function of their genetic background, environmental context, and individual experience. Applying a developmental and lifespan perspective to psychiatric and behavioral genetics, we focus on psychotic disorders, cognitive functioning, and other complex traits. Our work is longitudinally oriented and inherently transdisciplinary.
